Registration

* We make every effort to give you accurate information regarding manufacturer reported sizing information and dimensions. Please note that due to the nature of the manufacturing process, from time to time product sizing may vary slightly. Soles of Cochin is not responsible for sizing variations in the manufacturing process, and after all, this T shirt is complimentary.
The last date of registration is October 13, 2025.
Group registrations are only available for 25 or above participants. If you are the group administrator of such a group, then please fill your group details here and we will get back to you with the process to register your group members.

The Fun run is an 5 km run at the Spice Coast Marathon. It is meant to introduce runners to the beauty of running. Anyone can register for the Fun Run, individuals, friends, families etc.
Sorry, all race kits must be picked up on the day prior to the race at the race expo. Race kits will NOT be provided to runners on the day of the race.
Sorry, refund requests will NOT be entertained once registration has been completed.
Race Category can be changed from Fun Run to Half Marathon or Full Marathon by paying the balance amount. However this is only possible till 13th October 2025. Please drop us an E-mail if you would like to change this. If you would like to downgrade from FM to HM or from HM to Fun Run, it is also possible if you notify us before 13th October 2025. However, no refund will be given if you downgrade the category.
No transfer of registrations will be permitted. Individuals must register for themselves with the exception of the group registrations.
On successful completion of registration, you will receive an email confirming your registration. Please add scm@solesofcochin.org in your spam filters or add as a contact in your address book.
We firmly believe that anyone can run at any age. There is no upper limit to the age category for the Fun Run and nor for the endurance events, although we will require proof of prior completion of an event or assurance that you have put in the effort to train for the event for the full and half marathon.
If the participant is below 18 years, they should be accompanied by a parent/guardian for Full and Half Marathon distances. The parent/guardian must also be registered in the same category and must accompany the minor at all times during the race.
No registrations will be accepted on the day of the race. This will be strictly enforced. Please do comply with the same.

The Kochi Spice Coast Marathon will be conducted on the 26th of October 2025.

Post Registration, a confirmation e-mail & SMS will be sent to the E-mail address & phone number (only to Indian numbers) respectively, which was provided during registration within 24 hours. For other race rules and regulation, please visit our website. BIBs will be generated only after October 20th for all registrations performed using Discount Code.

Bib distribution will be held on Saturday, 25th October, 10:00 AM to 05:00 PM.
Please Note:-
1. All confirmed runners need to personally come to collect their running number bibs from the Expo
2. Bibs will not be posted to individual addresses nor distributed on race day
Yes, the authorized person will be required to produce a copy of your photo id and an authorization letter to collect your race kit.
The Race Course
Feel free to run the way you feel like running, anything that will augment your experience is allowed as long as you run the entire course yourself.
The aid stations will be stocked with electrolyte, water, oranges, bananas, biscuits and salt.
Aid stations will be at a frequency of 2 kilometres on the course. There will be six Medical stations on the Full Marathon course. Details are available in the course map.

The Kochi Spice Coast Marathon is a road race. For a trail race, sign-up for The Vagamon ULtrail.
Of course! Walk-jog is a strategy used by a number of different runners, the world over. You can walk, run, roll or use your legs to complete the distance of the course in any way you like as long as you stick to the stipulated time limits and cut-off times.
The finish line and the race shall come to a close at 10:00 hrs. This will be strictly implemented.
The race officials will begin packing up and wrapping up of the race at this time.
No runner will be allowed to continue after this time as we do not have permissions to continue blocking the roads, etc after this time and are required by administrative officials to wrap up.
There is a 6 hour 30 minute time limit, within which all runners must have completed the full marathon. Any runners on the course after this cut-off time shall be asked to enter the sweep vehicle.
In addition to the overall cut-off time, there will be cut-off times at various checkpoints on the way as well, failing to reach these points in time will require the runner to enter the sweep vehicle.
Race officials and medical personnel will have the final say in whether a runner must leave the race, runners are asked to comply. The cut-off time will be strictly exercised. This is for the safety of the runners as well as to comply with the law.
However, there is no cut-off for completing the Half Marathon and Fun Run.
The race will start and finish at GCDA ground, Marine drive.
The Full Marathon will start at 03:30 hrs
The Half Marathon will start at 04:30 hrs
The Fun Run will start at 06:30 hrs
We runners tend to want to start on time, so we really do start at those times. Do ensure that you report well before, during the reporting time.
Getting to the Race
Travel & Accommodation
Incidentally the Start/Finish Point is 42 km away from airport. So you could possibly do a marathon or your way to the race!
Cochin is well connected and you will find it rather easy to get here considering it is a very vibrant tourist location.
Railroad: Two railway stations service the bustling city, Ernakulam North (ERN) or Ernakulam Town and Ernakulam South (ERS) or Ernakulam Junction
Air: The Cochin International Airport at Nedumbassery has flights from all over the world coming in almost daily. You will find no problem in flying in. {Fun Fact: The Airport is almost literally a Marathon away from Fort Cochin ie 42km, do take a picture of the distance sign near the airport on your way to the city}
Road: Cochin is well connected by roads with NH 47 and MC road connecting it to the rest of the country and the state respectively.

Results and Prizes
Awards / mementos will be presented to both Men & Women running the Half & Full Marathon according to the following age categories:
Open
Young (Under 45 Years)
Veteran (45-54 Years)
Senior (55-64 Years)
Super Senior (65 and above)
The overall winner will be declared based on the gun time. However, the age category winners will be decided based on one’s net time.
There is no podium position for the Fun run as we believe that everyone who stands at the starting line for the Fun run is a winner.

The Spice Coast Marathon does not have any prize money. The race is conducted purely for the love of running and for people to experience the beauty of the marathon route.
We do not want to lose focus of that with prize money.
Every runner who successfully completes their race within the stipulated time shall earn their unique medal to take home as their prize as well as souvenir from this scenic race.
