Terms & Conditions

By registering for the Ageas Federal Kochi Spice Coast Marathon, the participant agrees to abide by the conditions of entry listed below, as well as any instructions given by the race organiser and officials of the race.

For reasons of safety:

Roller skates, wheelbarrows, bikes, cycles or any other form of motion enhancing devices will not be permitted on the course. Children in strollers will be permitted.

Entry Fee:

All entry fees, related tickets and purchases are non-refundable. No transfers between races or transfers of race entry to another runner will be allowed ie Race Bibs are NOT interchangeable under any circumstances. Violation of the same will result in immediate disqualification. Registrations will not be carried over to the following year’s event.

No Animals on the course:

Animals will not be permitted with the exception of guide dogs; arrangements for the guide dogs must be made with the organiser, ahead of the event.

Medical Conditions:

It is the responsibility of all participants to ensure that they are medically fit to participate in the event.

Race Memento:

Only upon completion of the course distance for their respective events will finishers be awarded their medals. Non-participants are NOT eligible for race medals.

Use of Image:

By entering the race the participant consents to the free use of their name, voice or picture in any broadcast, telecast, advertising, promotion or other account of this event.

Age Category Winners:

First 3 positions for Men & Women in the Full Marathon & Half Marathon will be given mementos. The winners will be declared based on the net time (chip time). However, the overall winner in both categories will be declared based on the gun time.

Event Cancellation:

The event will only be cancelled or postponed due to unforeseen or unavoidable circumstances. The organiser shall not be liable in respect to any entry fees, costs and expenses the participant may incur as a result of such cancellation or postponement.

Collection & Use of Information:

By registering for the race, the participant acknowledges and agrees that any personal information entered on the race form or collected by event staff, before, during or after the event may be stored, used and disclosed by the organiser at their discretion, for the organisation, promotion and administration of the event as well as for the compilation of statistical information. The participant’s name will be added to the organiser’s mailing list to keep them informed about other events and activities.

Race Bib Numbers:

For safety reasons and primarily for identification by medical staff, the swapping, sale, resale or transfer of race bib numbers is strictly prohibited. Violation of the same will lead to immediate disqualification.

Race Ejection:

The organiser reserves the right to refuse an entrant’s attendance at, or participation in the race. Any participant who is found putting themselves or anyone else at risk will be immediately evicted from the course and event venue.

Fun Run:

Participants under the age of 9 years in the Fun Run must be accompanied by an adult guardian(parent, friend or relative). Participants aged 10-18 do not have to be accompanied by an adult unless there is a special requirement that necessitates adult accompaniment.

Banners and Posters:

No stationary banners/standees or creatives shall be allowed on ground or on Spice Coast Marathon course.

Entry Details:

Participants must ensure that they provide correct details during the registration process and inform the organiser well in advance of the race, of any changes.

Change of Address:

If the participant’s contact information changes after the submission for the registration, the organiser must be notified by email at
scm@solesofcochin.org before the commencement of the event.

Organiser:

The organiser of Ageas Federal Life Insurance Spice Coast Marathon is the Soles of Cochin Runners Club, a registered running group incorporated under the Travancore – Cochin Literary, Scientific & Charitable Societies Registration Act, 1955 (Act No 12 of 1955) with Registration Number EKM/TC/311/2014.

Violation of Terms & Conditions:

The organiser shall reserve the right to remove, ban or exclude any participant who is found in breach of these terms and conditions. Participants are required to comply with the organiser’s decision.
